Monday Minute: In the Land of Crazy Single Momma’s

Do you like that title?  I thought it was bad ass.  There’s big news this week in the land of Monday Minute!  Ian is on a break!  Can you believe it?  So, Monday Minute is now being hosted by Heather @ In the Land of Crazy and Melissa @ Day to Day Living.  There is also still a freakin’ co-hostess, who this week is Not Your Average Single Momma.  Holy Hell, that’s a lot of people to remember.  On top of all that, there’s a new button:

Wait a minute, that’s not it.

Ok, here it is:

two

That’s more like it.

Let’s just get on with the questions…

1.  What is your favorite 80’s flick?

Well, it turns out my favorite 80’s flick is not actually from the 80’s, but it was my favorite flick in the 80’s.  So, does that still count?

Nevertheless, it was this:

parentrap

It’s actually still one of my favorites!

2.  One Genre of music needs to be banned.  Which genre?

Does Justin Bieber count as a genre?  No?  Fine, then I choose rap…but not all rap.  Can Eminem and Sir-Mix-A-Lot please stay?

3.  What is your all time favorite candy?

I’m not really a candy person, I’m more of a chocolate person.  How about something with a candy coating?

m&m

4.  How flawed is your driving record?

I believe it is currently clean.  I’ve had 3 speeding tickets total, but one of them didn’t count because my Mom made me fight it and lucky for me the cop didn’t show up…and the other two have been long enough ago that they’re off my record (or however that goes).

5.  What was your high school mascot?

That’s a very good question.  A question I should be able to answer, since I was a cheerleader.  However, we didn’t really have one.  We were the “Fremont Packers,” but who even knows what a “Packer” is?  Fudge Packer?

6.  What color socks are you wearing?

If you must know, I’m wearing white athletic socks…I just got back from a run!

Happy Monday everyone!  Oh, and I’ll post pictures tomorrow of my Mom’s birthday surprise, pinky swear!

Oo I also loved watching The Parent Trap. Much better than that Lindsay Lohan one they re-made.

I would def. get rid of Justin Beiber and his stupid hair too. I hate kids with those silly sideways bang/hair....I will chop it off the next time one of those kids flips their hair near me.

Yes, yes, yes, we were (and still are) the Fremont Fudge Packers. At least we played it safe when we were against the Fruitport Trojan Condoms!

This post just made me laugh!!!

Wow, you and I are like twins separated at birth. Except we had different mascots. We were dolphins and some teams would yell SQUISH THE FISH and that bothered me because dolphins are not fish. We must have rented The Parent Trap enough times that it would have been cheaper to just have HAyley Mills come to our house. I think her accent is what helped make it the coolest movie ever. I have seen the remake and that's when Lohan was innocent, so I wasn't so bothered by it.

so, Bieber could have been your mascot? Oh, wait sorry. Shouldn't have said that out loud just forget I said it and pretend I said something nice like

"I like M&M's" and picture the goober grin on my face :D

I love that version of The Parent Trap :) And I love that of all the rappers in the world you choose to keep Eminem and Sir Mix-a-Lot. LOL.

Have you tried the new pretzel or coconut M&Ms? I am dying to try them, but can't find them anywhere!

ban JB?! Gasp...whatever would my 11 year old talk about then??! Since EVERY other word out of her mouth is Justin Bieber!!!

I too loved the Parent Trap!

Total agreement about Justin Bieber. But I'd like to add Miley Cyrus. *shudder*

And really, the Freemont Packers? I'm not sure I could ever say that with a straight face.

I used to be so clean. I think being moms sends our minds into the gutter or something, cause I will find a dirty joke in just about anything.

I have seen that Parent Trap it's good though. I always watched the Parent trap starring Linsay Lohan.

Was the parent trap in the 80's? Dang I'm old.

Yes, yes, yes Justin Beiber can count as a genre and can be banned!
You gave me my favorite 80's flick...I love Parent Trap!
Rap can be banned, but I agree, keep Eminem.

Yes, take JB and Miley and all the other tweeny crap and turn them off. ;-)

I loved The Parent Trap and I totally wouldn't have realized it wasn't an "80s movie".

Stoppin' by from MM! Happy Monday!

Fremont fudge packers...lol. I'll bet you in today's times, they hear that from their rivals.

I loved that movie as well, what a classic!

You're such an asshole :) However, I AM starting to wonder ... but not about that as much as I wonder how you can hate the boy that sings One Less Lonely Girl. That just ain't Christian.

I love the Sir-mix-a lot reference!!! What would the world be without the creation of "I like big butts"!

As a gal with 'healthy butt', the Sir-Mix-A-Lot reference warmed my heart.

Ahhh! I totally LOVE "The Parent Trap" but NOT the Lindsay Lohan version. Eek!

So yeah. I was in Coloma, MI for the weekend - not sure if that is anywhere near you, but next time, I will be sure to come visit / stalk!

YOu are so good w/ your running. So jealous.

And I've been meaning to add Sir Mix A Lot to my iPod (but can't let the kiddos hear that one, lol!)
