Feel Good Friday: The Bitch Edition.

logo3-larger-1

Happy Friday bitches!!  Hmm…are you allowed to say bitches on a “Feel Good Friday” post?  I don’t know, but whatever, it’s my blog and I’ll bitch if I want to.  Friday is going smashingly so far at my house…Lainey was up at the butt crack of dawn (aka 5am) and when I finally stumbled downstairs this morning for coffee I found that Shawn had made me a lovely pot of hot water.  Yes, people, he forgot the coffee.  Awesome.  Oh wait, there’s more!  My Mom emailed me this morning to tell me she saw on Good Morning America there is a bed bug infestation in NYC.  Nice.

So, let’s see if I can find something to feel good about.  It might be difficult.  But, here goes:

1.  I finally found the perfect shoes for my dress for the wedding next weekend!

candies

Don’t judge, okay?  I’ll be the first person to say these shoes look a little trashy at first glance, but even my husband said they looked awesome with the dress!

2.  Yesterday an 8 year old girl came to the surgery center with her Grandma eating this for breakfast:

potato-chips

And I’m not talking about a vending machine size bag people!  I’m talking about a regular size bag of chips from the grocery store!

Why does this make me feel good?

Well, hello!  Something as simple as this makes me feel like a good Mom, because even I wouldn’t feed my kids chips for breakfast!

3.  Lainey’s cupcakes for her Build-a-Bear party with her friends turned out great!

In case you couldn’t tell, they are supposed to be dogs.  I had no idea how they would look, because I tweaked a recipe I found online to make it easier.  They weren’t as epic as my rainbow cupcakes, but I was still pleased with the result!

4.  Lainey’s party was a success!

On Wednesday Lainey had a small party with 4 school friends, and of course her sister.  We went to Pizza Hut for lunch and then to Build-a-Bear.  All the girls had a great time, and there were no meltdowns (by the girls or myself!).

Last, but not least…

5.  I kicked ass again on my workouts!

I have honestly been slacking on my workouts this summer.  However, after reading Tyly’s and Erin’s blogs, I was inspired to start this again:

e4_d__0_JillianMichaels30DayShred

I have actually had this DVD since before it was even popular.  It’s one of my favorite workout DVD’s, but I’ve never done it for 30 days in a row.  In fact, I’ve never even attempted to…until now.  Today will be the 7th day in a row, and I’m still going strong!  I’m not just doing the DVD though.  Several days I ran before doing the DVD and last night I did a 15 mile bike ride before The Shred.

That’s right, I’m kicking ass and taking names!!

Happy Friday everyone!!  Be sure and head over to The Girl Next Door to link up to Feel Good Friday!

WOAH, I'm impressed with the workout before the workout! Get her newer ones too: one is for cardio and one for strength. Each workout is an hour long and by the end of those, you're pretty darn tired.

Ok, off to do some Jilian of my own! ; )

Those shoes are CUTE!!! I love them!!! The cupcakes are cute too!!! I'm going to start working out but because I'm so out of shape I have to start slowly and build up to Jillian Michaels...but I'll be there, for sure!!!

Great shoes, great workout DVD and even better cupcakes! (I will always choose the cupcakes over the workout DVD. Always.)

Oh and thanks so much for posting the link to your rainbow cupcakes - I think I have to try them. What is my curse word limit on these? I am a glutton for punishment.

Keep posting about your workouts so you can be my inspiration for losing all my baby weight after I give birth in February. So, if you ever think about slacking, think about how I'm counting on you. haha!

Quit showing off Skinny Mini off! :) Love the cupcakes. I'll take a dozen.

And PS Sass eats Sour Cream & Onion chips out of the big bag, but usually just for lunch.

Those cupcakes are so cute! My oldest had a build-a-bear party for his 4th birthday. Yes, a boy had his b-day there...the boys made dinosaurs or puppies and the girls made bears or bunnies. So cute.

you are hilarious!!!! Ahhh a pot of water. that has happened here before too :-(

Your cupcakes rock bigtime. You are an awesome mom!

OK so when Sarah had the stomach flu, etc for 10 days the only thing she would hold down was Lays. I should have bought stock she ate so many!!!! SO I totally have given out chips pre-10AM!!!

Don't hate!

You're definitely going to have to take a photo of the dress + shoes so we can get the full effect :-)

Have a great weekend!!!

I have to laugh at the water story bc I have done this not once but twice!

See I think that would be one of the suckiest things about having kids is having them wake up so early. Im not a morning person anymore. I use to be but I dont iknow what happened.

Thos cupcakes are awesome and glad her party went well.

I like those shoes

Happy friday

1. Love the shoes!
2. Love the cupcakes - very cute!
3. A friend of mine is NYC right now and was bitten by bedbugs. She posted the pics on FB and her arm looks horrible. Check your bed before you get in it!

People used to bring their kids to the ER for vomiting/diarrhea all the time, and then I would have to watch the kid in the lobby chowing down on flaming hot cheetos! Ugh.

Oh, and I like the shoes. I'm a little envious of heels like that.

Girl, those cupcakes put mine to SHAME! They are fantastic! So glad the party was a success!

And the Shred is fantastic, even though I want to punch Jillian in the face on a daily basis!

Those cupcakes are amazing!!! I knew immediately that they were cute puppy cupcakes without having to read what they were. Those shoes are fabulous!!!

I hate, hate, hate you for being able to do that 7 days in a row. I've never been able to be so loyal to the DVD and I want to physically harm Jillian via TV everytime I work out!
